Late.Mr.Kandaswamy
was the promoter M/s Lalitha jewellery Mart private limited and had been previous
Chairman. It being an ancestral business, he has been in this trade since a long
time. It is a closely held family company where there were two shareholders and
two directors. He has upraised the company to a level to match among other leading
jewellery showrooms. His patience and hard work has brought fame to the firm and
has helped to create a long-term relationship with the customers right from the
initial days. As days passed on, Mr.Kandaswamy wished to expand the business and
divert the funds into other new areas of business. Even though it was the early
stages where the jewellery business in Real Estate, Share speculatation and chit
funds. This did not earn much profit as he had expected. Moreover it was the moment
when the entire industry was experienced a phase of recession. The real estate
line was worst hit and the share market was also down. As a result he was unable
to recover or plough back the funds to his jewellery showroom. This was not made
known to the customers or the competitors. The Top management handled the issue
by taking smart measures. This is when Mr.KiranKumar came in as a savior.
Mr.Kiran Kumar, a regular supplier of gold
and precious stone jewellery to Lalitha right from when the showroom began, had
earned a lot of profits from them. He had treated M/s Lalitha jewellery as his
prime business. He had a chain of clients comprising of GRT, LKS Gold House, Saravana
Jawellery, Fathima Jewellery, Balu Jwellery, Sharathi gems, Devi Gold House and
some leading Jwellery showrooms in Hyderabad which include Meena Jwellers, L.Bajrang
Prasad Jwellers, Tibermal Jewellers and so on.
He felt that best way
to keep up the goodwill and repute was by taking over the firm and Mr.Kandaswamy
also felt it as the right decision. It happened and then over the ages Lalitha
came up again as the best in the Jwellery Hubs in Chennai. After involvement of
Mr. Kiran Kumar in the company, the quality became the priority measure for all
dealings in Jewellery and that is why now their products are recognized as 916
KDM. The Board members have changed in the recent past and now it has Mr. Kiran
Kumar and Mrs.Hema Kiran.
